The Music Box Theater has been home to the Midnight Madness cast / Rocky Horror in the city of Chicago for almost a dozen years now. The Music Box is a VERY Rocky friendly venue. The management and employees are all very friendly and top notch, they know our cast, our show, our audience, and fully support the ongoing showing of Rocky Horror with our cast.

The Music Box specializes in showing classic / archival movies on celluloid film and can show 16mm, 35mm, and 70mm films (as well as 2k/4k digital) in the main theater. The main theater has a seating capacity of 748 people (there is also a second theater with a 70 person capacity).

Alcohol at the Music Box

 

The Music Box has a liquor license and can / will be serving liquor to during our event! BRING YOUR I.D. with you. They are DAMN SERIOUS about making sure they continue to be able to serve liquor at their establishment and will refuse service to ANYONE that may look underage, have a fake ID, already be excessively intoxicated, and will definitely err on the side of keeping their license as that is worth more to them than serving a couple of drinks to you may be. We are working with the theater to possibly provide some Rocky Horror / Shock Treatment themed drink specials for the night of our show. We'll update this page if we know in advance.
